Six questions education leaders are working through right now

You already have opinions in the room. What you need is a clear position your board, staff, and families can understand, even when part of the answer is still evolving.

AI shows up at home and at school. How do we handle something that crosses between them?
Learning and habits form in both places, so it works better when both are part of the answer. We help leaders move toward shared expectations with families, and a consistent way of handling situations that start outside the classroom.
We have guidelines. How do we make them real?
Guidance holds when people can follow it without a meeting first. We help you read your own guidance the way a teacher will at 7:30 in the morning and a parent will at nine at night, then look at how it holds up against situations your school has already seen.
How do we bring families in as partners?
Families are working through the same questions with less support. We help leaders prepare for that conversation: what to open with, which concerns are likely to come up, and how to keep the door open afterward.
Where does AI genuinely help, and where should we slow down?
We look at the work already on your calendar. Some of it can reasonably be handed off. Some of it belongs with a person who knows the student. Sorting the two is where the useful conversation starts.
What do we say to the board and the community?
We help leaders prepare before the meeting: what AI is doing in schools now, what your school has decided, and what is still open. Clear answers, plus an honest “we’re still working on that,” build more trust than a document nobody has discussed.
Can AI give our people some time back?
Often, yes, and we help leaders find where. Your school decides how that recovered time serves students. Responsible use still asks for judgment, privacy, trust, and accountability, and we keep those in view while you decide.

Where do we start, and how do we do it safely?

It is the question most leaders open with. Three steps, in this order.

Start with the people accountable for the decision
Superintendents, administrators, and other education leaders. They carry the responsibility and they answer for the outcome, so nothing useful happens further down without them.

Identify the concerns that actually rank
Data security, adoption, policy, staff integration, and whatever else sits at the top of your list. Part of this is separating what the school owns from what it inherited. Some of it is yours to decide, some arrives from the wider world and school is where it surfaces.

We are an AI consulting practice working with schools, education leaders, and the organizations around education. We work alongside the people accountable for decisions rather than around them, and we start with the work, the people, and the stakes already in the room.

Our public conversations happen on School’s Out Saturdays, part of the AGI Podcast network, where we talk with people doing this work in schools.

We would rather tell you what is real today than describe a program we have not built. When something is still in progress, we say so.

How we think
AI should make people more capable, not less responsible.
A useful system has to fit the actual people using it. If it only works in a demo, it does not work.
A clear question and enough context change the quality of an outcome dramatically.
Schools and communities deserve honest conversations about AI, with the risks named rather than smoothed over.
The people closest to a problem often have the strongest insight into how to solve it.
